I sprayed the final clear coat on the front and rear fenders and install them today. The tank will be done last. I just got the carbs back from Jack Saturday. For the second time. The fuel Tee was split causing the fuel leakage issues earlier. I spent most of yesterday and today getting this far.

Check it out. this is what she will look like when completed. The upper rear seat mount is not done yet. Also we will have a leather tool pouch just behind the seat. I ordered a pair of Biltwell Z bars in Satin black to round it out.

The pics tell the story. I think it looks a lot like a Triumph speedmaster.
Too bad the pics do not show the gold metal flake in detail. All I can say is it looks like stars in outer space in a blood red background.

No amount of chopping parts off comes close to making a bike look like this.

Yes we hacked some stuff off and added a few really nice things to make this
bike share about 4 different styles of cycle. It will be a real nice ride.

Thanks, Lots of hard work and time went into this. These bars are too low for the length of the control cables. Everything is squashed. The Z bars have a 4" rise and 13 degree pull back. This will put the controls near where they would have been on the stock Rebel.
Just flatter at the ends. Trying to shoot for completion by Feb 1st.

Cool huh. They are straight through with no baffles. Sounds like amazing thunder.
Not too harsh but a good rumble. We can add baffles if we need to but I say they are a buzz kill. Just lay off the throttle when cops are close.

I have a cannon ES that can shoot video but with a bike it's kind of hard to do.
I can get video with my son riding it and shooting video from the Nissan Frontier
as a chase vehicle. :) It's his bike anyway. I'm just the custom guy with a vision. :greetings10:

Wj, last we talked I was bidding on a pair of Goldwing foot pegs. Had them all the way to the end and was out bid by a penny. Somebody was jonesing for those pegs.
So I found this pair of shadow 1100 pegs for $25. Since they are round they look more like
what this bike needs. I had to slightly grind away a little bit of metal maybe 1/10".
Gas tank has not been clear coated yet. Waiting to see if we have any "trash in the tank issues" since we are getting little fine bits of crud in the fuel filter.
It had been sitting for over 6 years unridden. Tank does not look rusted.
I put some BB's in it and shook it all around when I had everything apart.
But that action may not have gotten all of the crud out.

I like the classic aesthetics, might have liked it even more with wider bars, more like beachcomber style, but that's just me...

Mighty fine bit of work there, and it does resemble a Triumph Speedmaster/Bonnie America.

Any new photos will be with the Z bars installed. They were $89 from Biltwell.
Satin black Z bars 7/8"

I sat on the bike with the current setup and because the bars are so low you do not have decent room to the highway pegs. So the 4" rise will make this better
to deal with. I'm glad you guys are on board with what we've produced here.
I'm not trying to reinvent the wheel , just a different take on the classic/ custom that trends in different directions. I'm very pleased with the outcome.

Can't wait to do another bike. Will not be a rebel 450 though.

Thanks to all the members that support our efforts. We go the extra mile in making real custom one off motorcycles.

Still learning ? Hell yes. Enjoying it while we do ? You bet....

I am of the opinion tassels are the gayest thing to put on motorcycles.
:lol2: I wouldn't use that word, just because it has so many interpretations, but I would say that tassels just look silly to my eye. Kind of like cardboard clipped in the spokes with a clothespin. :nonono:

Well it appears to be a darn good thing that the OP has fringe instead of tassels.

To each his own. The leather fringe was to hide the rather large gap between the seat bottom and the rear fender. This was the cheapest alternative to a custom made cover which would have been very difficult to make.
Indian's and Harley's have used this stuff for years and do you consider those riders "sissies". I would think standing in front of most harley riders and calling their seat fringe gay would be rather colorful. If you like blood red. :lol2:

Rear fender actually is an Ebay item. It is fiberglass and weighs mere oz's over the stock metal fender we took off. However it was every bit of $135 including shipping .
The mods to the fender includes the dove tail cut in the rear and an added piece of rubber around the front edge to allow the fender to sit low in the back.
The tag light is LED and is all custom made by me. The wire harness for the tag light runs up under the fender to the rear. If you want a vendor name for the fenders let me know.
