Happy holiday everyone. I took this day off from work and I am going on a picnic. The plan is to go to the top of the thumb. Im packing thermos of coffee and a little cooler of sandwiches and some chips. A ride along the lake should be nice. I'll post photos tonight. So i know you guys love riding anyone who goes out today post some photos of your trip. Be safe and enjoy.

Hey, here's one shot of my afternoon ride. While not a "trip" - I did ride nearly 50 miles and found some nice, twisty back-country roads. Even though I live at the beach there are some "fun" roads to Rebel on once you get back a few miles from the surf. I posted this picture on FB while I was out having fun.

I captioned it, "Rivers edge scenic bike riding along the St. Martens River on a gorgeous 4th of July."

That looks like a beautiful view. Too bad somebody parked a red motorcycle right in the middle of it. Red is so difficult to overlook. :whistling:

Seriously, looks like a fun ride on a beautiful day.

I ended up doing around 170 miles round trip. Sunny skys and i had deer heard of them okay family of them slowed down watched them cross. On the way back from Port Austin i had a wood chuck cross the road good thing for my horn. Had a fawn in the road beep beep and it crossed. Oh and 2wild turkeys on a railing beep beep and off they flew. I seen another rebel while out and chatted with them for a few. All in all very safe and great trip.
Ill post photoz when i can get my app to allow me lol my smartphone isnt as reliable as my rebel. Thank you for the photos posted i loved them

I'm trying to enjoy the idea if a road trip through you all. Thanks for posting! I actually started up the Rebel and turned it around yesterday. A ride around the barn Woo Hoo! I am tired of the rain but I'd rather gloomy days in a car than the awful fires out west.

Been raining here in Ky. The thing I notice most when out riding is the smells to go with the scenery. It completes the picture you can't get in the cage.
