Hey guys I have a 1978 Honda twin star 185. And I can not get the thing to spark. I put a new coil, new wires, new spark plugs and checked all the continuity in every wire and it all checks out. And the point looks good no carbon buildup or anything. What do you guys possibly think it could be? Maybe kill switch? Thanks!

Welcome to forum. I think that early Honda had points to control the spark to coils .Check that they are gapped correctly and are getting power to them

You need to get out the multimeter and trace it down. Are you getting 12V to the coils when the ignition switch in on? I am not familiar with the TS185, though it is very similar to the Rebel engine. It does have contact points, and that is the next place to look. With the ignition switch on, you should be getting a spark at the points as you open and close them with a screwdriver. A bike that old will not have a sidestand cutout switch, but it may have a clutch cutout that will cut power to the ignition unless the clutch is pulled in or the transmission is in neutral. I would remove and clean the points, making sure they are making good contact all the way around. Points and condenser ignition is much easier to troubleshoot than CDI ignition. The problem is going to be electrical, not electronic.
