Hello, I have a quick question. I found some seat brackets that fit an 86 and up. I have an 85, is there that much difference in the bikes, or do you think i can get away putting them on? I think the brackets mount to the shocks. Thanks

Sorry, I'm still learning the lingo. I guess I'm talking about seat springs. I bought a seat that has a swoop in the back and will need some support. when I look it up it says 3in seat spring brackets for a solo seat. But all the years start at '86. I think you already answered my question for me, I appreciate it. Just curious, a lot of the solo seat spring brackets I looked at said they would fit an 86 but 85 wasn't on the list so just wanted to make sure.
