I've got a spare CDI, but it's a good one I would want returned. Will make it available if I can be guaranteed it will be coming home.

Thanks Flight but I would rather wait for a dead one...I can't guarantee what will happen to it once I send it to the manufacturer and it is out of my hands. But do appreciate the offer.

Just curious, but what are you going to do with a dead CDI?

He is going to have a company make an adapter so classic Rebels can use a second gen CDI which I think is a good idea because I'm pretty sure the only classic CDI's available are used.

Thanks, I missed that part.:angel: I'm sure it can be done; I recall that Jack had CDIs made for the 450 some time ago. An adapter should be less expensive, or at least I would hope so.

Found it! I will get it in the mail sometime today. & it is very dead. So, no need to try to get it back to me. Hopefully this will keep some of the classic rebels running & hopefully people will actually take advantage of it.

Now I am a little confused... I have both first and second gen CDI but the gang plug is identical? So do both use the same wiring harness plug but with different pinouts?

Ok I think I understand the problem now... unfortunatly I do not have the a second gen Rebel to test it on....

What I will need now is the CDI gang plug jack from a second gen wiring harness to correct the pin outs. Are there any out there I could use?
