That sure looks great! I hope you can keep the lights, as doubtful as it seems. When I bought my bike, I was looking at the colored led display at the dealership before I left the lot. I really wanted to get the blue ones for mine. When I checked locally, I was told that green was the only color that would not cause any problems with local, county, or state LEOs. I don't want green. I want blue, but even though they sell blue here, it leaves me open to getting stopped and ticketed. I don't want anything that may get me pulled over simply because someone in uniform feels that there is some "room for interpretation" in a statute. I'm just not the "Rebel" I once was!
Many of the LEOs that I've spoken to out here are in favor of the LEDs, as long as they're not flashing red and blue. Of course, a lot of them ride, and understand the need for visibility at night.
What do you think about running them on a separate battery so that you can leave them on as hazard lights?

I found some really cool glow in the dark/ reflective pinstriping tape on line that I was thinking about getting
Yup, good stuff. I based on (I think) frigitator's recommendation, I bought the black tape that glows white. Almost impossible to tell it's on the bike unless you look very closely. And it comes in many colors as well: Streetglo - Invisible high intensity white reflective black tape strips kit for black motorcycle frames, bicycles or other vehicles.

Highly reflective, inexpensive, easy to install, and no problems with the law.

yep, that's what I was looking at! they also have it in different colors so you can pretty much match any color bike you might have...

Great stuff. I highly recommend it. It even sticks well to the sidewalls of tires. My bike looks downright cosmic from the side after dark.

I picked up a set that are all colors and flash too.

All colors are legal here, just no blinking or strobe settings while on public roads. I've seen every color fom blue to red.

I'm getting these next:

Lunasee | Active Side Lighting

Saw them at the Progressive show here and loved it. Way cool idea to me and I gotta have em!

Yeah, I'm a city cop down here in south Alabama, so I definitely wanted to make sure I was "by the book" on this. I talked to my contacts with the State Troopers (because lighting is State law and not city law), and they said I was good to go! I get alot of glances when riding at night. I definitely wouldn't mind looking into some of that reflective tape, seems pretty cool and highly useful

black reflective tape

Hey Hooah,

I bought some of this black reflective tape to run down my frame rails. It reflects a bright white at night. During the day it blends in stealthy with the black frame. I even bought a couple pieces 4"x9" to maybe cut a pattern out of somewhere down the road.

I like that idea!
May have to look into doing that to both my Morotcycles and maybe even my road bicycle also
