Airbox Boot Removal

Hey all
newbie here
trying to remove my carb to clean it but cant get that last quarter inch clearance to get it off. I started to remove the airbox boot from the airbox but it looked like there might be some kind of sealant between the boot and the box. can anyone tell me if that is the case? and if so, what i should buy to make sure it is good when i put it back on?

Welcome to forum . Yes there is sealant on carb hose on airbox .Carefully lever it loose and push it inside the air box to get clearance to remove the carby

Thanks wjmrty! i have never worked on anything in a mechanical sense so bear with me here...any suggestions on what sealant i should purchase for when i put it back on?

There is no real need to re seal it. it will seal well enough by its self
