I got 7 years to the month on YB9L-B Yuasa battery, cheaper Batteries Plus battery lasted 2 1/2 years before failing.. I now have 7 years on second flooded lead acid YB9L-B Yuasa battery, we shall see how much longer it will last..

I have 3 Walmart everstart marine flooded lead acid deep cycle batteries in motor coach that were installed in 2007..
last fall they started failing as I hadn't checked the water level in over a year..

A lot depends on the quality of battery you buy..
You are right and I agree but me personally I will replace an AGM every 3 years over an 8 year sloshie gloshie. It gets delivered on the front porch I take it out of the box and put 2 screws in. See you in 3 years. The price has come down on them a good bit too. I think I bought this latest one for the cm250c in April. 23 dollars including delivery. See you in 3 years.

I bought a cheap AGM battery for the VN750. Left me stranded on the road after 18 months. US made Deka AGM replacement battery cost less than $45 and lasted over 10 years. Quality is often the least expensive option in the long run.

Just a follow up, been running the bike for a while with the same battery, haven't had any issue since. Starts up every time usually first try. Took it out for a few long rides and no problems. ✌
