What's your 250 top speed ?

I'm not exactly sure how fast it will go. I have had it past the 85mph mark on the speedo. I have a larger front tire on it so the speedo should be pretty accurate. Just guessing I think it was about 90mph +/-.

You guys are lucky mine cannot get past 70 im topping at 67 mph thats wot using gps speedo

Well, I'm a light weight and I've also changed my sprocket sizes. Both of which factor into top speed but I think the biggest factor is weight. I have removed some weight from the bike and my light body weight is how I can achieve the speeds I get.

I'm a light weight to 115lb plus am running 14/30 gears but bike has many extras addead .:thumb:

Top speed so far was around 85 indicated. That's faster than I need to go, but I wanted to see if she'd do it. Much of top end on a Rebel has to do with shifting technique. It doesn't have the torque to accelerate much in fifth gear.

We weigh about the same and have about the same gearing but I'm guessing my bike weighs in at just under 300lbs.

Mine weighed about 310 pounds new, but I think it has gained about twenty pounds since I quit smoking.

I'm just guessing how much my bike weighs taking into consideration what they say the factory weight is (around 330lbs) and the parts I have removed. I figure I have probably removed at least 30lbs maybe a little more. I could be wrong on the factory weight and it may weigh even less than I figure.

I've had mine to 70 mph. I really don't see any need to go faster. As I get older my choices have been more based on common sense. They didnt build this machine to go that fast safely. Tuck and roll is in my mentality, but at those speeds you just become hamburger. Be smart and ride safe folks.

Fridgitator my bike accelerates quite well in 5th gear now since rebuild even with taller gearing.:thumb:

Not everyone likes to ride or drive fast, I really don't consider 85mph that fast. As long as your bike is in good running condition and maintained well it can run that fast safely on the right roads under the right conditions. Nobody should try it if the thought of it scares them though and they shouldn't ride or drive beyond their ability. If you are going to exceed the speed limit then be prepared to suffer the consequences if you get caught or do so in an unsafe manner.

I'm curious to see what your dyno results are.

Had it up to about a real 70 MPH to keep up with traffic felt like it could probably go faster, pretty sure it would. Don't really have any need or desire to know if it will go any faster than that.

Me too mojorisn can't wait to see what hp gain i have ,engine feels so strong n accelerates so quick now is increadable the difference from what she was like when first got her.:thumb:

120 km/hr wot on flat,bike is stock

On a freshly repaved, flat as a pancake road in North Dakota, with a tailwind, GPS indicated 91mph.

I may have gotten an mph or 2 more, but I was precariously close to civilization and really didn't want a ticket. Funny thing was, I get pulled over about 100 miles later. Gotta love speed traps. Just got a warning, though.

I'm 220 lbs, I've gotten a bit over 75mph on the speedo with no windshield and stock gears (afaik, I haven't counted them). However, all it takes is a little headwind and my 5th is slower than 4th.

110 km/h on a flat, fairly empty, dry highway. I think it would have gone up to 120 if I'd wanted it to. My bike is stock and I'm 180 lbs (yes we like to mix metric and imperial up here... )

Well i weigh 170 lbs was that too heavy for the rebel for me not to reach 75 at least ?

Or probably because of my accessories saddle bags big windshield etc.
