Well, I lived for 7 whole days with the "torture board" stock seat on my newly aquired 2005 250.
That was too long.
My criteria: I wanted to keep the mods to a minimum and retain the stock tail light.
After taking some ball park measurements of the bike, sans seat, I got a take off seat from a 2007 Sportster XL at one of the local bike shops here in Daytona Beach for $100.
I used a loop of metal plumber's strap, drilled out to fit under the rear tank bolt in the front and drilled a hole in the rear fender for a 3/8" Bolt.
No mods to the seat at all.
Done.
Comfort is now mine!
Next up: Small crash bar with highway pegs, a new drive chain and a 30 tooth rear sprocket

Looks comfy. I've been down the 30 tooth sprocket road. Not going back.

I bought a 120 link chain, intending to cut it down to 108. Can I cut it down to 105-106 links to install with the 30 tooth rear sprocket?
Edit: I found my answer.
