All,

I absolutely need a seat mod. My stock seat is terrible. There is a gap between the front of the seat and the tank and the front part of the seat is angled down. Instead of comfortably sitting back in the seat, I feel like I'm sliding forward.
I need to know what other seat from another bike can be mod'd to this Rebel.
I once heard that a HD Sportster seat would fit but without some concrete evidence, I'm not ready to spend/risk the $$$. I've sat on a stock Sportster seat. It's a nice saddle type.
Come clean with any info you can spare.

With modifications a Sportster saddle can be used.

The direct bolt on is the Corbin saddle. Its Corbin's lower cost comfort saddle and a simple bolt on application.

Without starting another seat-thread.... I found a used Sportster-seat , and a used Rebel-seat, and merged the two into one.

The way I did it: (quick & dirty, with self-tapping screws)

+ glued a strip of inner-tube rubber over the area where it lies over the rear-fender. (the area that was cut away from the Sportster-seat)
