Hello there,

I am Matthias from Germany and I am riding my 86 CMX 450 since 2008.

Modifications:
stainless stell MSR exhaust with custom manifold
chrome front fender
different headlight / turn signals
sissybar & saddlebags from the cmx 250 (Hepco & Becker)
LSL handlebar
ProBrake lever
custom brake kit with a 4 piston ABM/Spiegler caliper, France Equipment break disk etc.

I want to share my experience and participate in problem solving. :)

Wow! Nice changes. And nice 450! How much did the front braking improve?
Is that exaust system something that can be ordered to fit? Or, do we need someone skilled to customize it to fit?
It also looks liike you have a bag of some kind between the exaust pipes! Is that what I see?
I‘m from NRW Essen.

the breaks improved a lot. So much That I will fit a fork-stabilisator from „Kern-Stabi“ to Make it More stiff. It seems like the fork bends when breaking Hard.

The exhaust is custom based on the MSR. They don‘t make these anymore. It seems like marving is the same company and make the loud Version. 😉

the bag is a small Toolbox. I Hope to keep it there because I would like to fit the oil cooler of the cb450s.

there are also Plans to fit the cylinder Head of the cb450s and customize the inlet boots. 🤪
when I rebuild the engine… someday somehow.

Keen observation and sharp eyes Emil! I had to search for the bag even after you mentioned the bag.

I don't know maybe some LED bulbs when they are TÜV legal.

Nice bike mine is black I need cylinder head gasket and 0 rings for gasket can u help CMS Holland no reply. Thanks victor

Unfortunately the last guys who changed the seal at the crankshaft behind the polewheel, did some sort of improvising to change it.
They used screws to get the seal out und damaged the crankshaft bearing. Now I'm screwed, because I have to rebuild the engine...

Keep you updated. Maybe with some tuning?
