Hello! I'd like to get a set of JIS drivers, and I'm wondering what the preference is here, and where I can find them.

Btw, why are the JIS drivers so much expensive then the stupid Philips ones?

TIA

Thanks! I'll probably go with that ball grip one. That's about what I'm looking for, and it's right in my budget.

If you don't have a hand impact driver, you need one for working on these bikes. I've come across a lot of fasteners that needed one.

I have an impact driver, and it's already proven to be invaluable!

Hand impact drivers are the best. They're literally designed to be sinks of frustration for hammer wielding monkeys. For years, I had wanted either a pneumatic or electric impact wrench, but since getting it, I have yet to come across a screw or bolt that my driver from Tekton couldn't crack loose. I believe it's made in Taiwan. There was the one time I had to remove my Odyssey's flywheel bolt that I had some trouble (Honda torques these at 2000ft lbs, apparently), but a bit of acetone and ATF combined with the driver worked like magic.

Different generation. I bought this one in 1985/86. Picture (shown in Wikipedia)

That's the one I was gifted.

Have to specify it's a hand or manual impact driver you're looking for, and some places refer to them as hand impact screwdrivers.
