I have a 1999 Rebel with around 3000 miles on it. I owned it for 3 years and did no maintenance, after this winter I couldn't start it, it was working only on choke, but then stopped starting even with the choke on. Reading this forum looks like the problem is with pilot jet.

What price do you think I will be able to sell such a motorcycle for taking into account the fact that it doesn't start.
Would you suggest to sell it to a dealer?

Bikes that don't start/run take a significant hit in resale value.

Bikes sold to dealerships (AKA taken in as "trade in value" and not "retail value") take a significant hit in resale value.

Put both of those together and I would honestly be surprised if a dealer would offer more than $200, which is about all you'd have to spend on a mechanic to fix it and then sell it for the full market value that isn't taking the hits.
