I have a 01 rebel cmx250c and am replacing the petcock. Recieved the new petcock and screen but the screen doesn't fir inside of the bottom of the tank. Are there diffrent sizes of screens for this?

Ya got me
In my case black rubber seal fits over screen and is squeezed between petcock and tank lip sealing the connection when union nut tightened

As i remember bottom of screen fits inside petcock
of course the brass tube fits inside screen..
took pictures 2016 so it's been a while since I last messed with petcock
