Hi guys! Happy to be here and start learning about bikes, so far its been helpful maintenance tips.

Anywhoo, today I noticed fuel leaking from the back left side of the fuel tank.

I'm no expert, but im sure fuels supposed to be inside the tank. It wasn't like this when I bought it, but maybe it was easy to miss. I got it about 2 weeks ago, and am realizing how much TLC this bike needs after 8k and almost a decade of use.

But, i'm in love with riding and want to take this as an opportunity to learn more about bikes and working on them!

If you guys need any more pictures I'll be happy to provide anything I can!

Welcome to the forum! Looks like you are going to need to either replace the tank or repair it. eBay has tanks that are inexpensive. You could also put a liner in, many members have done this to new tanks as well as older ones. I have had good results with the eBay tanks but some members have complained about leaking over time. If you can locate the source of the leak you could use the tank repair epoxy as a temporary fix. Hopefully other members will weigh in. Again, welcome!

^^^^Ditto on both comments.
Caswell's 2 part on both new & cleaned out old leaky tanks.

The only leak that I've ever had after using Caswell's was due to excessive vibration when I installed a tank incorrectly.
