Hello! I recently added 8inch “ape hanger” black handle bars. They are the same height as stock but with less pull back. They are so comfortable compared to the stock bars. The bike has a whole new feeling with them if anyone is interested in changing their bars. I just couldn’t stand the stock pull back. I also think the black looks better.
I also added a new clutch cable and adjusted the throttle and clutch play. I recently had the throttle a little to tight with little play. You definitely need the play in the throttle to control the roll on and less with jerking action when Shifting. I also added the 41 tooth sprocket. Man with these changes the bike is even more of a pleasure to ride now! I’m very happy with the changes. This is my second 450. I wish I would have made these changes to my first one! The new clutch cable is a 100% part I would suggest to change from the 35/36 year old clutch cable. It really adds so much more feel it’s hard to explain. I don’t think I need to replace my clutch anymore. It just needed a cable. Very cheap and easy to install also.

Could you post links to both the cable as well as the bars so in case somebody else wants to do the same? I don't have a 450.. yet. But it is nice to hear what others have done with them.

One way to do it are Mirrors like these:

I guess you also could use clamps and the Handlebars, not inside the Grips but we're the Bars come upwards, above the Risers.

Thanks. I really have no room on the handlebars I just bought to clamp anything else on. The turn signals are clamped on the bars near the Risers. Thanks for the suggestion though.
