I’m a new rider and well I was practicing on my Honda rebel and made a slow u turn and I couldn’t stop the bike on time from tipping over. It tipped over on the left side and now it’s leaking oil. I looked under I think it’s a small black tube next to the shifter because that’s where the oil is building up at and forming the droplet. I don’t know what to do or what to look up to buy…

Welcome to the forum. What model year do you have? Can you post a picture of where the oil is coming from? Many first time Rebel riders don't know that the oil is checked with the bike level (not on side stand) and the dipstick unscrewed and resting on the threads. Takes 1.6 quarts when changing the oil.

It’s a 2001 Honda rebel 250cc. Now that I think of it I did use two quarts instead of 1.6 quarts but I did drain some of it after I realized what I did. But after it fell on its side I must’ve knocked something loose. It wasn’t a bad fall I was trying to keep it from tipping over but it did. Then it was leaking.
The excess oil could have caused a pressure build up that forced the left side oil seal out. If you look under the left side crankcase cover, there is a small opening. If oil is coming out of that hole, the seal is leaking. Lots of threads on this subject as it happens fairly often. You can find them through a search. I know one of them has a picture of the opening.

ThNk you. I’m going to check it out right now and see if it’s the oil seal
There is a gas tank vent & carb overflow tube that is part one in a group tubes hanging below engine and swing arm pivot.. Could be gas from tank or carb.. what does fluid smell and taste like?

somewhat common for crank seal to leak if overfilled with oil..
I've circled the seep/drain channel cast into left side engine cover, gives you an idea where to look..

Oh thank you boss yeah I got a mechanic to fix the problem I don’t have the tools or parts. Thank you.
So what was the problem?
So what was the problem?
Too much oil and the pressure blew the gasket.
I'm wondering if you could have bought the tools for the price the mechanic charged & learned something in the process?
