Hey y’all, I recently purchased an ‘86 rebel 450 as a project bike. I’m fairly new to repairs and got an m-unit blue for the build. I’d just like some tips and tricks for how to build and route all the wiring. I’ve been looking at the kits from Revival Cycles to help with it.

Not all that familiar with M-Unit, But others here have considered it's use in the past

M Unit rewiring

Just curious if anyone here has wired a M unit on their rebel. If so is this something a first time owner/wrencher could do alone? The wiring on my rebel is pretty ugly and I’m considering taking this on in the future but like I said I’m a newbie with little to zero electrical experience

I am also averse to all the complexity that this involves. Wow! The more that read about it, the less it's likely that I'd ever try it.
The old rule of thumb, IMO, would be best. Keep it simple as you can.
Having just one part controlling everything isn't for me.
