Very true! "curbside shopping" is the best! If you're in the right place at the right time.

Well, I've seen your pictures and it looks like it would really be comfortable. Since my wife could care less about riding, I'd most likely be fine with a solo saddle. But it's going to have to be really cheap.........like your "curbside" shopping.

Any motorcycle salvage yards near you, Chris? Might find a comfortable seat for not much money there, and you can sit on it to see if you like it.

The pictures on the website that I posted are when the salvage yard was outside. That was some years ago. They are normally inside buildings and therefore you won't see them.

I was referring to my area, Emil. No motorcycle salvage yards in my area. Closest one I can find dedicated to motorcycles is in Dallas..........another in Fayetteville, AR.

I'm familiar with those, flitecontrol. They claim to be motorcycle salvage yards but when you get there all you see is autos. But I'll check to see if they dun snuck a new one in on me. :D

Checked around today at the salvage yards and there were some wrecked "crotch rockets" but nothing that would be of any use to me.

I know I turned up my nose at the mention of a sheepskin pad because I thought I'd had them on my Mercedes. Was talking with my brother today and he told me the sheepskin covers he gave me were synthetic and likely nothing like real skins I'd be looking at for my bike. So I'm wondering if many of you have sheepskin and could make any comments and/or recommendations. A nice cover from Alaska Sheepskins would cost less than some of the inflatable seat pads I've been looking at.
