My wife was taught at msf course to grip her tank with her knees and after a while she rubs the paint down to bare metal , I cannot get her to stop so is there any way to protect that area ? Back in the 70s I had a honda that had rubber pads there to protect the tank and triumps back then also had them . Anyone have ideas or the same problem ? Thanks

I've been checking them out but reviews say that the glue does hold very well

My thought is the possibility of using epoxy paint. I've heard that it is much tougher.

What in the world is your wife wearing that will grind through the paint? lol.
Short term you could use gaffer's tape, it holds better than duck tape but releases cleanly like painter's tape, and is available in lots of colors.
