Is my brake pedal correct? 2005 model 250

Hey all! Is my brake pedal correct? When installed, the body sits far to the right of the adjustable bolt which is meant to adjust allowing me to set the correct height for the pedal at rest. I've included some images with the bolt removed. The pedal body seems straight, but the pivot point at the frame does not run in line with the frame. I'm thinking someone could have re-welded that portion on poorly, but any input? I'm wondering why someone would do that in the first place.

That landing spot on the brake pedal is supposed to hit that upside-down bolt on the footpeg bracket. Might be a brake pedal from a 1st gen Rebel.
Looks to me like it got bent outward somehow. I think that it's supposed to be closer to the body of the engine.
Or the pedal arm may be bent. Hard to tell.
