Good info Big J but I see some typos there too. It has a 15" rear tire not 18".
Also, what do you think the top speed is?

I have an 86 rebel 450 and I fill the tank up when I hit the reserve, it will only take 2 gallons max, any more and it will spill out! I must not have the original tank then right? have pictures will send

That's about right.
10.5L is around 2.5 gallons.
With roughly a half gallong reserve, 2 gallons is certainly in the ballpark.

I get about 100 miles before reserve around town about 120 on the open road, no noticeable difference with the wind shield though

That is good. I don't know what I will get with everything worked over. I missed the last run due to falling down sober and busting my knee and wrist. Before I did the maintenance I did the 120 mile run on 1.9 gallons. It is running much better since the valve adjustment.

mine's chain kissed chain guard and has small bruises on chain. I am a lil scared to take it on interstate now. low confidence you know..

My windshield is one of those big ones not the small ones its like having a sail on the front of my bike, I am wondering if my valves need adjusting though because really i would think that being a 450 this bike should able to out accelerate my Suzuki dr 350 and it really can't not even close so I think my valves may need attention come spring:surrender:

unicorn rare.....

I wouldn't call them rare but uncommon. they were only made for 2 years and parts can be a little tricky to get but they're out there.

Really, the Rebel is around. 85-87 for the classics, 96 and up on the second generation.

Its the Rebel 450 that was made for two years. Still, so were a lot of Honda cycles and a Rebel 450 is just another in the lineup.
If you want one, they can be hard to find parts for. They are not "Bonnie and Clyde Model A death car" collectible, or Auburn Boattail valuable like many folks try to sell them.
