New member here! So happy to have had come across this forum. Never been part of one either. My dad has had a garage kept 1983 honda cm250c (california spec) in the garage for the past 20 years, decided to take on the proyect which has been more than a delight. Engine and components are good, bike runs smooth after cleaning and rebuilding the carb, air box and changing the oil (and spark plugs). Just your normal every day joe maintenance.
Stupid me, i disconnected the lines and told myself that ill cross that bridge when we get there and oh boy, we got there really fast. Its a pain in the butt to figure out the hose situation but getting through it. I’ll add since pictures of the process!! Happy to be here.
P.S If anyone can help me with the following i would be very appreciative.

1) what lines connect to the carburator (besides the fuel line)
2) the diagram depicted in the picture connects lines to and from the canister since its CA spec, but the float bowl nipple has a line that connects to the air vent? If so, which nipple is the air vent?

thanks to all!

The bowl drain nipple hose T's off to hose connected bowl air vent nipple i've circled in Red.

also T'ing off bowl drain hose is an additional hose routed upward & open to atmosphere that acts as a vacuum brake when the drain is used.. Much like household drain roof vent piping..
The bowl drain also is the bowl overflow connected to overflow stand pipe inside float bowl..

Heck of a lot simpler than the system used on 1st & 2nd generation 1985 and up as purge control valve was added to the system to evacuate carbon canister adding two additional ports & hoses to carburetor..
