[Setsback]

I'm TJ from Santa Cruz California my girl got me a 96 CMX 250 that runs perfectly for Valentine's day she just loves her 06 rebel and wanted me to have one to Cruz our lil beach town together. However it does have some things that need addressing and I'm confident with the help of all of you awesome folks I'll get this bike back doing what it was made to do.

A little background on the 96 CMX 250
My girl picked it up for a $100 bucks clean title registration good till August 2023 however the guy painted it camo with non camo colors it's like if rainbow bright went to war with the care bears kinda camo and he used house paint interior latax to be precise he also removed all the lights and cut the wires down to the loom. Bypassed the starter solenoid and would use a "sparky" to hot start it because he lost the key. The guy METHED the bike up pretty good but she fires up and sounds healthy she only has a few thousand miles on her and for a $100 can't beat it.

I'm almost done stripping her down to send her to paint. I'm going to have them paint her Matt black nothing crazy.

The original "Coca Cola" red and white color scheme on the '96 model is one of my favorites. Shame the PO painted over it. Your girlfriend got a great deal!

I'd suggest getting an original harness off ebay. It'll save so many headaches.
