Does anyone turn off their fuel valve on the petcock when parking their bike ? Just wondering cause my Aero 750 has a vacuum petcock and the Rebel 250 does not.

I always shut mine off 2/10 of a mile before I get home. That way the carburetor float is usually empty.

Yes, every time. Prevents leaks if the float sticks.

Yup, same here. I try to run all the gas out of the bowl as well, so it doesn't gunk up.

I even turn it off when I'm just running inside to grab a soda or something

Actually I verified yesterday, I really shut it off exactly1/2 mile from the house. That way it runs out just as I'm preparing to back it into the garage.
