imo I wouldn't mess with them unless rusted half way or more though..

why not just get some oem studs? surely a cheaper and better solution

 

i'm of the, if it ain't broke don't fix it school..
all too often when studs brake off there is nothing but trouble removing/replacing them unless you have a machinist friend with a shop..

 

I am also missing a stud, dunno why but I had to temporarily use a bolt.

Oem studs? Not sure where to get those, but 200mm of that stainless rod is less than $5.
