I have a spark problem on my Rebel 450. After measuring the installation, it looks like a damaged CDI module. I found a Honda CB 450 S module with ML4 CF512A markings close to me, while my original one is MM4 CF512B. Does anyone on the forum know if it will function properly in my motorcycle? Thanks for the answers.

I´d say, just try it. You´ll probably cause no damage and chances are good that it´ll work.

Thanks, if I don't know anything else, I'll try it

By the way, I will ask something trivial, maybe how the coil wires are to be connected, I have yellow and green, and the ends of the coil are black and green. I'm not 100% sure but it's probably correct yellow to green and green to black?
Unfortunately, when I was buying Rebel everything was disconnected and I struggle a bit with the installation.

There is a CMX450 wiring diagram on this forum to search for. You might also be able to find a CB450 wiring diagram on the hondatwins.net forum. That way you could compare the two and figure out what's what.

The original is a MM2.

True,, MM4 indicates originally first designed for use on CBR750
has the engine ever run in your presence..
CF512 variations A&B can be found used on CB350 (CF512A), CB350S (CF512A), CB450 (ML4, CF512A), and CMX450 REBEL (CF512, CF512B, MM2)

I bought the CMX in parts without the starter clutch, the engine was assembled and I am trying to start it, but there is no spark ... I have already ordered this MM4 module so we will see if it works :) if someone has an original for CMX 450 I will be happy to buy

quite a ways from you, Jack's Rebel Warehouse in Florida carries a Chinese replacement

The 1000 mile trip to London from Poland shouldn't take more than a day to drive.. It's the tramp steamer across the Atlantic that will take the time.. I'd get Jack to ship via DHL as it would be less expensive than a trip..

Traced Jack's 450 CDI source several years back to Ching Tsang Industrial, but never found the exact cmx450 model he sells. There is no option to order a cdi on the page now unlike in the past.

At this time I can't connect to their corporate web page with this computer but can on my old one which had search history.. doesn't appear to be a way to order from these pages..
motorcycle rectifier regulator, scooter parts voltage regulator rectifier, racing regulator stabilizer, ATV parts rectifier regulator oem odm manufacturer electronic parts for YAMAHA, HONDA, KYMCO, SYM...

Thanks a lot!!! I was able to open these pages, I will write an inquiry to them and we will see if they have such modules and if they will send individual items.

Did a new search came up with the following page that has both email address and contact us link page

Rebel uses an AC (alternating current) CDI with the following specs

only using 5 of the 6 terminals
