A high quality screwdriver the right size works good if you can maintain good downward force while you try to loosen. If the screw is starting to strip out the head, some small vice grips may work.

Or put the pin back in and hit it thru the fill tube with some carb cleaner followed by friendly air pressure

Basically, when you think it's clean... clean it again and again.

There is very little adjustment on that unless you take off the tab. I always just keep it in the middle of it's short travel. No reason to remove the tab unless you are changing jets and doing other non stock mods.

It comes in a gallon sized can with a screen basket inside. I know autozone sells it.

I'll go look at mine and see who makes it. It is a few years old and don't know if it's still available anywhere tho.
It's made by SolderSeal and Gunk and called Carb. & Parts Cleaner

Just go with a new Yuasa so you know what ya got. Trying to nurse weak batteries is too much work on you and the bikes charging system.

I didn't keep track of the turns for the air/fuel mixture screw now I can't figure out how man turns I need to do. I've cleaned everything twice before and I can't let off the choke any more then halfway without it dying and any time I apply the throttle it dies as well.

Any suggestions on how to go about doing troubleshooting this?
Sounds like the carb is still plugged somewhere. May need a good sonic cleaning to get all the gunk out of the small passageways. Some people enfd up doing it several times till it's completely clean and others end up sending their carbs to Jacks Rebel for their excellent carb rebuilding services.

On the mixture screw the initial setting is 2 3/4 turns out from lightly seated closed. Then replace the small cap in the midway point after that.
