I have a suspicion the plastic portion (brown) of tensioner has broken..
Replacement of entire tensioner would require splitting case as bottom of plastic portion is attached to pin on crankshaft center (pink) carrier.
you should be able to see bowed plastic tensioner tight against timing chain..
this in turn causes wedge (red arrow) to be pressed up.. your wedge in down about as far as physically possible
I would expect to see a second wedge sticking up where green arrow points
