Hello, I'm interested in putting a spring seat on my rebel. I'm not very educated in this so can I just put a bobber seat in without screwing a round with the back fender. I don't want to chop it. I just want the seat

Yes. Rear fender or not it's going to take some minor fabrication to get it attached.

Minor fab I can deal with, couple holes here or there. My mission is to get a more comfortable seat with out spending $3-400. As well as if and when I decide to sell it bringing the bike back to stock as easily an possible.

I just had my stock seats recovered and better foam put in. Now my stock seat is comfy and it cost less than 200 bucks for the seats and both backrests.

The too soft foam in the stock seat is the main reason it's uncomfortable for extended riding.
