Welcome to the forum!
Wow! Lowest mileage that I've heard of in a long time! Barely broken in! Some here have had well over 100K on theirs, so you have a l-o-n-g way to go. Congratulations on your NEW Rebel.
How many years riding? From which State do you hail?

Most here have, or have had other motorcycles. We just love the ease & simplicity of these. I've only 2 others left, but never ride them anymore. If you do decide to get a different bike after awhile, you'll always miss this one! Keep it, you will find it'll become your go to bike!

I only ride the Rebel. I've been selling all the others. Other than the Rebel, I still have a GW & a Honda 360 that'll be gone by next summer.

The 360 is in pieces. I do have a 2nd engine for it. The GW is an older one, meaning 1100 cc engine. Not too heavy, but I do agree that it is a BIG step. Safety is so important. Better to go up to a 650 at best right now. Later with more experience, a GW or other would be fine.

It's your bike, your decision, you can do whatever you want to it.
I dislike bobbers myself, but many here have them. Several here are correcting the changes that the POs did to them & bringing them back into a closer resemblance of their previous beauty.
Please do not scrap any parts that you remove. Put them on the Classifieds for others to refurbish theirs. Thanks!

Welcome to the forum!
I've never seen a white 1986 Special Edition (let alone an 85?). It looks very nice!

That is a nice shot with the sun coming up! Or maybe you're riding off into the sunset. Looks like something you'd see in an advertisement. ;)
How do you ride and handle the controls? I know motorcycling takes 100% attention all the time. Or did you just have it in Hover mode taking pictures? I've never used one so I don't understand them yet.
