Since this is a new thread i will enter a new bike. Full disclosure, i don’t own this one any more. I bought this bike for $250 with a seized engine. I had dreams of rebuilding the engine but was probably a bit over my head. I was a car mechanic in college but that was long ago. I was lucky enough to find a low-mile engine on craigslist for $225. I had never done a bike engine swap so I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was. I reupholstered the seats with a $35 eBay set, they came out great! I put on a Chinese gas tank(eBay again, less than $100) and put decals on it. Lots of cleaning, shining and touching up. I had a great time with this bike but you can’t keep them all…i had to make room for the next project😀

Welcome to the forum!
Wow! Lowest mileage that I've heard of in a long time! Barely broken in! Some here have had well over 100K on theirs, so you have a l-o-n-g way to go. Congratulations on your NEW Rebel.
How many years riding? From which State do you hail?

Wow. Pristine. Have you taken a basic rider instruction course? Best way to learn the fundamentals and be as safe as possible.

I am in Southern California and have zero riding experience on street bikes, I'm a NEWBIE! . I have my MSF training course SCHEDULED in February. I've always wanted to learn to ride and was going to wait til after the class to purchase my first bike but this deal came my way and I couldn't pass this up. I have a 2005 Honda CRV and can attest to Honda's longevity, quality and low maintenance costs. Looking forward to learning how to ride safely and by experienced trainers.

Most here have, or have had other motorcycles. We just love the ease & simplicity of these. I've only 2 others left, but never ride them anymore. If you do decide to get a different bike after awhile, you'll always miss this one! Keep it, you will find it'll become your go to bike!

Some good reading while you're waiting for the course would be David Hough's books, Proficient Motorcycling and More Proficient Motorcycling. If your library doesn't have them, they might order them if you request. If not, they are well worth buying. Every time I read them, I find some nugget of information I missed in prior readings.

I only ride the Rebel. I've been selling all the others. Other than the Rebel, I still have a GW & a Honda 360 that'll be gone by next summer.
