Bar end mirrors help

So i bought these:
They look like great quality! Solid little mirrors, i thought they would be plastic.
Now, i was able to install the right one, no problems as it never had a cap on it. But the left handlebar still has the "end cap". When i got to unscrew it it spins with the whole bit thats in there. I was able to pull it out to a point but no further.
I suspect a previous owner had bar end mirrors in and left their bits in there. I dont know.
What are my options? I originally wanted just one mirror on the left (as per VA law), but i might go with both if i can solve this issue.

When I removed mine, I left the screw in just slightly, put pliers to it and hammered the pliers gently to slide it out.

Use a hand impact wrench to loosen the screw on the bar end weights.
Something i didn't realize is it seems the stock cap is MADE not to just come off. It's made to spin the whole bit. Im sure it's got its reason but it inconvenient enough for me to call it a flaw haha
I was able to pull the whole thing out so I went to my shop and the guys hooked it up. We ended up using a vice and a screw driver. That easy. Now i'm ready to install these mirrors using the stock bar weight. Love it.
Thanks guys, i didn't know what hammer wrenches were called so i did learn something.

May I ask where you found your mirrors?
Sure dude, right here:

Would love to know how well they work
I have purchased aftermarket mirrors in the past that were pretty much useless, they shook so much I could not see anything
Do a Google image search for Rebel 250 handle bar weights and you'll get see what's inside. Around the rubber bit there is a spring metal ring that has tabs that fit into holes in the bars. If you can squeeze them together and jiggle or rotate those tabs out of the holes you can pull the whole assembly straight out.
Bar end mirrors on mine.. Everything looks smaller but my field of view is so much greater. For me it took away all the blind spots.

Looks rad. yea im liking them just fine. I hardly use my mirrors anyways except to make sure im not about to get rammed when coming to a stop, so they are fie being little and all.
Could you link me to that extension joint under your handlebars? i might want one.
I just shoved that piece deeper into the bar, never to return, then installed my bar end mirrors with the expanding fasteners

There's a clip system.
And if you find it, it takes little effort to get the weights out.......
