For prettiness sake and $10 I am using new Shadow emblems on the tank. Did the EMGO shorties. The new front and rear tire, tube, and rim strips just came in. So its going well thus far. Went 120/90 R and 90/90 F. Last front was 3.0-18. Went hair wider. New shocks in also to pretty it up also.

Short drive to my work and then McD for lunch. Ran all 5 gears and hauls butt. So far the PZ26 with 120/40 jets is going well. Hit 55+ on the basic city/suburb roads (posted as 35-40). Used "stair tread" from Home Depot for the battery cover and 2 car type push in tabs to hold it and only one zip to hold leading edge from wind in case.

New rear shocks installed. Next up the tires. 2nd pic shows the cool "shift" paint.

Hooked up the DRL wire and chopped/painted the front fender to match the bike. No worries will be applying trim to the chopped edge for safety sake.

On the CB250 engine I am going to experiment some with the carb. Taking off the cheap PZ26 that has like a pinched oval fuel flow pattern that is like 16x22 that then bells out to the 26mm. Currently using 40/120 jetting.

going to swap for a Nibbi 24FL with full 24mm round slide. Going to try 38/115 jets to start. I do like the side air/fuel mixture screw. Also has a 46mm inlet, the cheap PZ26 was 39mm.
I did have a Nibbi 26FL at one point (on the Rebel build) but the outer edge was offset and hung off the T185/200 intake by like 2mm on the actual port. So that went back.

Nibbi PE24FL in with new pod filter and gasket set. Install will be Thursday (Birthday). Nice to see a full 24mm circle. Slide is also metal and not plastic. Came with 32/35 and 108,110,115 jets in package.

Nice man. How did you decide on that carb? Do you think it'll perform better than the stock one? Are you going to have to modify the linkage. Sorry for all the questions. It's super cool and I'm curious

The stock carb had sat for 10-15 years with fuel in it. I removed that and did my Twinstar 185/200 intake with cheap PZ26 carb. What I noticed is the PZ26 is oval-ish and not a full 26mm. Its like 22x14 or something.I figure ar least with a real 24mm round slide carb I would get more even dispersion into the intake.

No issues noted on my Rebel build (also on this site) running the same Twinstar intake with same PZ26 carb.

I just figured for the slightly lighter bobber that has the shorty mufflers maybe I can wrangle a tiny bit more out of it over the Rebel build.

And for $64 for the Nibbi. Why not.
And I had already swapped the throttle cable to a single pull type (same as I did on the Rebel and was like $9 and was plug and play to stock throttle tube)

Check my MayHem Bike YTube channel probably do a video Thursday on the swap as I do it. 👍

Someone asked for a "rev" test with the new carb. 38/115 jets. EMGO shorties with the baffles still in. Sounds even better in person

Nibbi 24FL "Rev" test.
Follow up. Had to raise the "needle" 1 position as I had some lean bog at like 1/3rd throttle with the Nibbi. All good now. Still 38/115 jetting. Just goes and goes.

Very happy thus far. Little 13 mile township ride today. No issues at all 👍
