This is my first 450. The carbs were gummed up from sitting so I took them apart and cleaned them in an ultrasonic cleaner for an hour each. Put them back together and she starts and runs much better. It wouldn't run at all before without much starter fluid. The motor is somewhat happy to idle now but will cut out when I give it some gas. When idling it will backfire through the carbs occasionally - makes me think this is a valve issue. What else could cause back pressure on the carbs?

I'm going to take the carbs apart again and go through them. That's the advice I would give someone if they posted the same issue.
