I have not seen this problem before: I started the bike after it sat for a few months. Small spits of oil blew out of somewhere from both sides of the bike. The oil seems to be coming from around the bottom front of the mufflers. I let the bike idle for about 10 minutes and I have not had that problem since. Why did it behave like this? Does this indicate problems?

Check your oil level. It's probable that the oil seal may've blown out, making it look like it was leaking on both sides when in reality it may just be the left bottom spraying out oil.
