This is a European manufactured Honda Rebel CA125 made by Montessa in Spain in 1997 to get over the European Community import Quotas and import Duty.
I don't think they actually manufactured them after 1997 with all later registered bikes having been stored in a warehouse. Mine was not registered until 2007 so was in storage for some 10 years before being sold by a Honda Dealer in London.
In 2008 my son had an accident when some clown in a van pulled out in front of him from a side road. This effectively wrote off the front of the bike.
I have now purchased an almost identical bike - also made in 1997 in the Montessa factory to use as a donor for the parts I require. This bike had a siezed engine !!
