Made some progress in my tail light replacement project.
It is led.
I plan on completely removing the on fender one and filling the holes with stainless or chrome bolts
Side reflectors are there because the saddlebags cover the original ones.
That portion is from a Yamaha of some sort.
I bought a second plate bracket and modified it. That way I can do a simple plug in play upgrade on the bike. Also I can return it to original if desired.

The Liteway brand Daymaker knockoff came today.
The new 5 3/4 housing came a few days ago so I figured I would see if the led projector fits.
It doesn't, well it DIDN'T, but now it does. I needed to do a bit of Dremel work to the Daymaker heatsink.
I will grab some photos when I take it apart again.
The headlight shell assembly is a third party H-D part
There was not enough room to keep the two wiring plugs inside the housing. I cut the plugs and soldered the wires together. I will make a plug in connection on the Rebel, probably the stock one in the front electrical box.
The Daymaker copy is a Liteway brand. It has the little 1/2 led running light between the 2 lower projectors.
I ask the vendor and he said it is 30/45 watt so I should be ok with that.
I am waiting on the aluminum block to come so I can make an adapter to mount the new assembly. I got extra aluminum material so I can adjust the housing location if I want/need to. If I raise the headlight some, I can raise the windshield a little also and keep the uniform gap between the two.

Today, I ordered the Harley Daymaker knock-off headlight. I already ordered a new H-D style 5 3/4 housing.
I have tried the H4 led bulb which is brighter, but the light is too scattered for my liking.
I suppose I am too spoiled by the hid projectors I put in my truck.

|HR250||Bike looks great! I am always surprised by how much bigger the little Rebel looks when a windshield and saddle bags are added.|

|Shadow Shack||Out of curiosity, did the CB750-spec (accessory that shall not be named) require any fabrication to mount or was it pretty cut and dry/bolt-on easy?|

Windshield clamps and a couple of my $75 hitch carrier.
I added the led turn signals to it and extended the ramp to 6 foot. With the extension I can load and unload by myself.
I tried lowering the turn signals but I did not like it so I put them back.

Windshield is on.
It may be a tad short, but it is a $30 investment so it will work for now.
It is from some Harley. No idea which year or model. I used the 39mm quick release clamps that came with it. Used an 1/8 inch thick rubber strip as a spacer.
It clamps tightly to the forks. The scratches polished out nicely. I don't have a very good before shot, but you can see them in the photo of it resting on my front wheel.
I will upload a photo of the clamp later on.
I used 800 grit then 1500 grit then 2000 grit. I finished it with plastic headlight/taillight polish and an electric buffer.
