7milesout Oh goodness. I would not have thought about that either! But now when I visualize the hard linkage from brake pedal to brake, it's a no brainer. But I likely would have done the same thing to start with!

flitecontrol Welcome. If you adjusted the chain or moved the rear wheel back when aligning it, it tightens the rear brake. When moving the rear wheel farther back, first let off on the brake arm (turn adjusting nut counter clockwise) before moving the wheel. When finished, readjust the tension on the rear brake linkage and then tighten the rear axle nut to 65 foot pounds of torque.

Tire alignment?

I tried to align the rear tire and took the measurements. Then the tire was stuck and would not turn freely. It was in neutral and when I loosened the nuts it was free again. What am I doing wrong?
