|7milesout||You might consider never using the rear brake again. Have your right leg amputated. Then it would be a cinch to climb aboard! Ha! Course walking to the bike would become more difficult ... nuts.|

|Fauxpasrebel01||Do they come with a folding foot ladder for this 73 yr. old to get his leg over the seat, or do I have to take up yoga for a few yrs. ? LOL !|

Check out Honda's NM4. It seems to have a convertible backrest/seat along the lines of what you're describing. Maybe you can stop by the dealership and get some ideas from how they implemented it.

I have used a backrest called Bikers friend.
works well and doubles as luggage.

Yes I will. But I'm kind of torn on my idea. I could fancy it up, but it would be more expensive than it would be worth ... but it would be COOL. Or I could keep it more basic and it might be inexpensive but not particularly cool. Either way it would be very comfortable I think.
I'm trying to convince my friend to 3D print some parts for me but I don't think he will. I'm finished with my (more simple) concept design. I'm going to make drawings and then try to use some poster board to mock it up and see if I'm close.
This and working on the AFR gauge both in my spare time ... but I'm making slow progress.

7miles out, I'll be really interested to see what you come up with. Will you post it on this forum?
