Shadow Shack If my asthmatic lungs can spin them, I'm pretty confident that a 49cc or higher engine can spin them.

Guba Do they spin with a small 250cc engine?

Shadow Shack Yep, they spin. No video of me blowing through them like a tuba mouthpiece to make them spin though...but they do, in fact, spin.

RJ64 It would be so cool if those pipes rotated when you rev it up

"Other Honda" mirrors was the first mod I did to a Rebel, I didn't care for the way the solid stalks of the OEM mirrors ghosted at higher speeds on my wife's Rebel so I swapped a set of OEM VT600 Shadow mirrors on that had the rubber vibration insulator in the stalk.

I went a little buck-wild with my current Rebel, it's a CB250 Nighthawk front end and mill (technically the same engine as the 96+ Rebel) on a Gen-2 Rebel frame/bodywork with Gen-1 air cleaner/battery box and the rear shocks hail from a mini-chopper. I have scooter-spec mufflers waiting to go onto those head pipes. It's a full-tilt Franken-bike now!

RJ64 I also took the mirrors off the VTX and put on the Rebel. Those stock mirrors just did not look right on those new handlebars. But, those mirrors weren't stock to the VTX. They actually were on the Triumph I sold. Cool how they fit right on like made for it.

Shadow Shack FYI it's not really a Franken-Rebel until you mish-mash other bike model parts onto it. That "other Honda" backrest qualifies it now.

RJ64 Now I rigged up the old back rest from another Honda I had to fit between the seats on this ride. Came out pretty good and I have a bag to carry stuff sitting on the back seat and tied to the back rest. Even though I don't yet have forward controls, it's a much better and easier ride now. The taller handlebars make a big difference, bigger than I thought they would at first.

RJ64 Put on Mini apes from J&P Cycles. They are 8" rise and I had to move the wiring for the controls to come out in front on the triple tree top, instead of behind it like it was, so that everything would fit good. The front brake line just makes it and any taller rise would require longer everything. It's a better ride now and I'm getting closer to making this bike my daily commuter.
