Hi Billie, sorry I haven't seen your message until this morning, some reason there was no notification in my email.
I have been doing well, hope you and your family are doing well too.
With brake fluid they pretty much are all the same here in Australia, unlike the USA, as all Aussie fluid have to comply to a specific standard. I wouldn't be surprised if all the brake fluid sold here is made in one place and then packaged in different bottles.
Motor oil: Everyone has a favorite, mine is the MOTUL brand. As long as you use an API SG 10W40 4 stroke oil things will be fine. Make sure it has MA in large letters somewhere on the package as that type suits the wet clutch style that the Rebel has.
The only thing I do prior to the oil change is make sure the oil is warm before you drain it, say a 5 minute ride.
Don't use any additives as it may effect the clutch. The Rebel holds 2 US quarts of oil = 1.9 liters.
Once again sorry for the late reply,
    Cheers
    Gus
