VS Jeff seems awfully fond of the "like" button.

perhaps (and this is just a perhaps based on having been in forums for years and also been a moderator)

I said "switched to classic view. finally found the social groups again"
VS Jeff took all the talent of a trained parrot and clicked "like"
(instead of addressing the sub issue by letting go of the mouse and typing a reply.... something like

"-little dave... glad you found the social groups by going to the old view.. just so you know the social groups can be found in the new format by navigating to.....and clicking..........etc"

glad to see that you like that i figured stuff out for myself.
you know what i like?

the old view.

(not to say that i wont try the new one. i just had to point out my frustration)

It is more a verification that I saw your post. I have 600+ sites to monitor and post 200-300 times a day so sorry if I did not give you enough attention.

Here ya go:

@little dave - I am supper excited that you where able to find the option you are looking for, sorry I was unable to preemptively let you know where the option was ever though you did not ask where it was.

You can find them in the new view under Tools > QuickLinks > Social Groups

If you have any other question please reach out to me and I will be there to help.

Thanks,
Jeff

Here is how I think the "like" button could help

I am scanning though a thread looking for "how to tell if my chain is to loose" just as an example
Someone response with "Pull up on the chin you should be able to pull it up........."
I think "I am not sure if this makes sense, maybe its right maybe not" I can read though all the rest of the post and see what others may say, others may not even respond if that is in fact correct since the answer has already been given.

If I read the post and I see many members have "liked" it, especially reputable members, I know that this is solid advice.
I may still read the other posts to find other advice, but that was in fact good advice

Jeff, the tag search function still isn't operating correctly. It doesn't select threads that were tagged. It takes you to all threads where one or more of the words used in the tag search were used, just like a regular search. You can test it by doing a tab search for carb back flush tool. There is only one thread with this tag.

Keepin' all the left over parts. Gonna use 'em to build another bike!

Putting your bike year and model in your signature helps others help you!

Thanks for the tag example! I've sent it over to tech and they'll look into it. I think it's reading the spaces in between words as 'or' instead of 'and'.

This assumes all members will incorporate the like button. I already stated my view on the matter. And judging by Little Dave's reply above I see I am not alone. Maybe it's a Vegas thing...

"Ride Safe, Chop Safer" Motorcycles are not unsafe. However; they are extremely unforgiving of inattention, incompetence, ignorance, and stupidity.
Dismantling, sawzalling, and rattle canning does not make a bobber.
Those are STEPS toward customizing, not customizing unto itself.
