That switch very well may work.. looks good to me..
yes the Rebel has both an Alternator and high 100+ volt generator/magneto windings that charge the CDI all contained on same stator..
You will be grounding the CDI rather than a magneto in your application though..
should be a rather painless 4 wire hookup unless you relocate switch mounting location..
