I didn't think the Rebel had an alternator, but I'm no electrician.

Keepin' all the left over parts. Gonna use 'em to build another bike!

yes the Rebel has both an Alternator and high 100+ volt generator/magneto windings that charge the CDI all contained on same stator..

You will be grounding the CDI rather than a magneto in your application though..
should be a rather painless 4 wire hookup unless you relocate switch mounting location..

I've got everything wired here's a picture I kept the color codes accurate to the original harness so do you think it will work from what you see in this picture.

C=red/black tracer from fuse block after fuse
S=yellow/red tracer from fuse block after fuse
M= green
B=thick red from the starter solenoid
M=black/White tracer to CDI

Nope,,, Don't look right to me... you should need only connect 4 wires..

C terminal (momentary switched power) should only be connected if you are defeating handle bar starter push button.. That I should think would by your Yellow/Red tracer, not positive as it shouldn't have a fuse connection..

A terminal (Switched Power) should supply power to fuse block with switch ON as in image..

My wire schematic is rather indistinct as to wire and tracer colors

the following connections appear correct..
M= green
B=thick red from the starter solenoid
M=black/White tracer to CDI

I got this one because it has the third twist to crank over like a car style ignition that returns once released, to replace using the start button.
I don't want any of the stock switches they're all roached.

So my yellow and red should go to "C" terminal.?
Terminal "A" should be the black and red ?

On the 1st gen CMX250 nine of the stator windings act as 3 phase AC alternator.. three stator windings per phase.. rectified to 12vdc by voltage regulator..
The other two stator windings of 1st gen provide AC charge of CDI..

the CM250 and CMX250 utilize wye alternator winding configuration
The Delta configuration has the three phases connected like a triangle, whereas the Wye (or “star”) configuration has all three loads connected at a single neutral point.

Yellow/Red appears to be starter relay (engine starter switch) on my schematic..
if it terminates at small starter relay terminal? Yes that would be C terminal.. momentary on
