450 Rebuild - Replace

My 1987 CMX450 was running great but it sounds like the timing chain has become so loose it's jump a notch or two and quit. Spark and fuel okay. I can hear the head banging valves.

Thinking of rebuilding the motor or finding a rebuild "short block" that's ready to install. Hate to miss summer driving and most of the shops here in Seattle are too busy this time of year.
1. Any place that sells ready to go 450's or a motor that fits?
2. Place to get parts for the 450?
3. Any service center near Seattle that's ready to take on the project?
4. Price estimate for R&R or just replace the motor?

I have two 450's 86 & 87. Timing chain went out on my original 86 and I started a tear down of the motor but found the 87 on C.L. and started riding it for almost 10 years until a couple weeks ago so I have lots of parts.
Might just get a cheap 250 for summer fun. Ideas are welcome!

You aren't real far from forum member jax. He buys, rebuilds, and sells 450s and might be able to help. Think he's in Northern California. Send him a PM if you think it might help.

Keepin' all the left over parts. Gonna use 'em to build another bike!
