Wiring harness question

Does the wiring harness or electrics of the Rebel control any part of the engine control, management or timing/advance functionality? My question being when I start a new wiring harness, am I good with the normal
flasher, relay & circuit interrupter, 12V power the ignition system (pin 6 white w/ black stripe to coil),all the normal wiring stuff, lights, horn. But is there any engine control of timing advanced worked in with the electrics?
Thanks

Yes the AC (direct current) CDI (capacitive discharge ignition) module provides coil spark voltage as well as advancing timing.. 2 of the stator coils provide minimum of 100vac to charge capacitors of CDI.. additionally there is a timing pickup aka pulse generator that triggers CDI..

Ignition is totally independent of 12vdc lighting/horn/starter system..

not sure what Black/White concoction you envision.. I can tell you B/W is used to Ground the CDI which Disables it's function... thus tied into stop/kill and ignition switches.. powering up the B/W with 12vdc may very well burn out CDI \_(ツ)_/

you don't indicate your year, here is 1st and 2nd generation ignition.
