Fuse Box delete/removal...

Still working on putting a Rebel Front end on a Twinstar. So far so good. Front end is on, now on to the wiring. I need a work around for the fuse box. Can I simply tie these wires together and do away with it or is there another way to wire it in w/o the box?

The fuse box, or the junction box on the forks?

Keepin' all the left over parts. Gonna use 'em to build another bike!

The Fuse Box, think it normally mounts on the Rebels air intake box(?). There's no place to conveniently mount it on the Twinstar. So since the Twinstar never had one, I thought I'd do away with it altogether. Should be able to straight wire these connections w/o the box.

You're asking if you can just wire everything up without fuses?

No no no no no no no no, god no. Not in a million years. You heard that from an electrical engineer.

Maybe you can hide some inline fuse holders in the wiring. But I promise you that if you wire it up fuseless you will die a horrible painful fiery death.

Just asking for trouble...the Rebel wires are very small to begin with. Fuses have a purpose!

Are you agreeing that going fuseless is asking for trouble, or are you saying the inline holders are trouble? Curious why, if so.

LOL, OUCH. Twinstar didn't have these fuses. Don't know why I'd need them now. I'm trying to minimize the wiring as much as possible.

Yes, wires are small gauge but the fuse box is fairly large. Yes, there's a purpose for the fuses, but these don't seem to be needed.
