sorry if i confused you.. Off in my mind disconnects the circuit electrically allowing the cdi to function..
Had I consulted the oem shop manual or even walked out and looked at switch I would have explained it better..

your switch diagram is a known error from an aftermarket repair manual..
below is switch internal connection diagram as found on the oem repair manual wire diagram..

I really appreciate that SK. I knew we were speaking the same language the only miscommunication was coming from the error on the WD. Thank you. I was starting to think I was crazy for a minute. Really was wondering how this bike would be completely different than any other motorcycle have I ever ridden. Hell I learned to ride on a 86 Honda XL250R for petes sake.

FC ha ha ha ha you meet great people no matter the make of their two wheeled motor machine.
